I have read a bunch of articles on the web and most of them point towards Blender. It's really helpful to be able to do concept art and backgrounds in Photoshop, clean up characters and vectorise in Illustrator, and then animate. I have looked around the web for resources, and the stuff on the website and YouTube is great, I'm just finding it a little hard to follow through.Īlso, is it worth trying to learn a complete new workflow? I have made myself familiar with Adobe CC and do appreciate the compatibility between the different programs. I've tried to learn Blender before, and found the learning curve rather steep. I was wondering if I should switch to Blender grease pencil. I still have a long way to go in mastering it, but I've been learning for a while now and think that I at least have a decent grasp of the fundamentals of both the program, and animation in general. I am a high school student interested in 2D animation and have been learning Adobe Animate (CC is provided by the government school system here, so the price doesn't matter for now).
